My Students

Pre-K is their first experience in a school for all of my students, and I am their first teacher. My students work hard, and they love to explore and learn. I want my students to develop a deep love of learning. My school serves almost all low-income students, with many of my students speaking English as their second language. As a staff, we focus on equity and advocating for the children and families we serve.

I believe it is my duty as a teacher to help close the achievement gap and get children to fall in love with learning and feel safe and loved at school!

One of the ways to do that is to make school a fun and inviting place. However, this requires resources that go beyond my teacher's income. I love my scholars, and they deserve the very best.

My Project

We desperately need more PPE in our PreK classroom. We have been quarantined three times already this year due to Covid-19 and the various variants spreading like wildfire in our classroom and school.

The items listed: an air purifier, masks, hand sanitizer, and Clorox wipes are essential to the children's wellness and safety as we continue to teach and learn during these unprecedented times.

I need to teach my young scholars the foundations so they are ready for Kindergarten, however, I need them at school to do this.

We must take care of our children so they can learn and be at school.
