My Students

My students with special abilities need quiet, safe areas created within the classroom that allow them to engage and focus on both academic and functional activities geared towards each student. Some students have needs that require a small, quiet space for learning or to engage in individual sensory activities. Some are still learning self-regulation skills that assist with their overall safety within the classroom.

My self-contained K-2 Special Education class has a wide range of abilities and needs.

Divider walls will help to provide safe spaces for individuals and small groups. I am confident that my kiddos will not only enjoy but thrive within a classroom that meets all of their sensory and safety needs.

My Project

During independent work time and small group instruction, students either choose or are assigned a location that works for them. These divider walls will be extremely beneficial in providing quiet, safe areas for focused learning. Students will be able to attend to academic, fine motor, and sensory tasks without unnecessary visual and auditory distractions. They will be better able to engage and enjoy activities that help them meet their individual goals, encourage independence, and help them reach their highest potential within the classroom setting. I am excited to see how these additional supplies will help us grow even more!
