This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My Kindergarten class is full of energetic students who love to participate in small group centers. They look forward to working with each other and putting their skills to practice with engaging manipulatives, centers, and books. The majority of these students come from low-income families and receive free or reduced-price lunch. Their resources at home are limited and usually only receive content practice or enrichment in the classroom. I want my classroom to be a place where students are engaged and interested in developing their skills and are allowed to do so as they work cooperatively with their peers.

My Project

My students use their iPads on a daily basis for access to educational games and apps, such as RazKidz and Teach Your Monster to Read. They love using their iPads but must share their iPad with other students in the class, as we do not have enough for each student.

They often times have trouble finding their assigned iPad, if someone has placed it in the wrong place.

I would use the storage bin to assign each child a specific drawer to place their iPad and headphones. This would allow for easy access and quick retrieval when using the iPads!
