Safe Passage + Students =Success

Help me give my students a safe space that promotes positivity and encouragement to help reduce the disease of violence within the school. I would love for this space to be comfortable with large bean bags and more!

My Project

As a counselor and mentor of a violence prevention program within W. A., it’s a reward to see the Safety Ambassadors (students 9-12th grade) change community norms and find new positive identities through the work we do a daily basis. The purpose of this project is turn a “Blank Piece of Paper” into a work of art. As a member of the community now serving the community, it’s more than just a job, it’s my purpose and passion.

These resources will be a tremendous help with creating the physically stimulating environment to ignite mental engagement.

Understanding the growing challenges our students face in and outside of school, there’s a need for more safe, inclusive and supportive spaces within education and this is the start. By supporting this project, you’ll be contributing to empowering students to reduce the disease of violence within W.H.S.
