My Students

My school is a great place to be! The students are ready and eager to learn. I teach two groups of 20 students each where we focus on 4th grade reading, writing and social studies.

Our classroom has lots of movement and comfort to help create a safe environment to learn.

We love to have flexible seating to keep kids engaged and ready to learn. I do my best to keep our library stocked with the best and latest books to keep my fourth graders interested in reading.

The pandemic has put us in a strange time period where students need to be flexible and ready to learn in many different settings. However, we're making it work!

My Project

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, students are stuck in their desks at all times without the usual movement around the room. Students are unable to work together and cannot gather on the classroom carpet like we would normally do.

This project will help me provide enough flexible seating options for students to use, despite being in the middle of a pandemic.

This means each student in the classroom setting would be able to pick a flexible seat each week. This gives students a better and more comfortable environment to learn in! Our kids need movement, and this will 1000% help them focus during these difficult and abnormal times.

The exercise balls, spring chairs and cushion stools will add to our flexible seating options, but it will also allow EVERY student to be in a comfortable chair while stuck at their desks.
