Safe & Inclusive Spaces: Stress & Anxiety Education and Support
Help me give my students a safe and welcoming space within the school. With these items, (lamps, notebooks, Bluetooth speaker, etc.) I can offer a variety of stress and anxiety relief and education for all of our students.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help us continue to build our safe and inclusive space at our school. Our students already access our space frequently for a variety of needs including time outs, emotional support, refocusing, stress management, anger management, and as a safe space for our LGBTQ community.
We are running low on many materials and would love to build our resources back up!
Stress toys and fidgets are popular items in our space and used often. The jelly fish tanks are crowd favorites and provide a calming atmosphere for students to refocus and calm. The workbooks and games give us concrete activities to use with students to help them learn about helpful strategies and the inclusive affirming flags and tapestries help broadcast that this is a safe space for all.
