My Project

My 7th and 8th graders are natural-born investigators. As a Title I school, many of our students do not have access to STEM resources outside of the classroom, so I strive to make our lab time as immersive and memorable as possible. Middle school is a pivotal time where curiosity can transform into a lifelong passion for STEM, and my goal is to give these bright young minds authentic, real-world science experiences.

This semester, my students are diving into real-world biology and inquiry-based learning.

We are gearing up to dissect chicken feet to explore tendon and muscle mechanics, as well as design and execute their own independent Science Fair projects!

However, real science can get messy—and a bit smelly. To help my students focus on discovery rather than distractions, we need a few essential supplies to keep our lab safe, organized, and fresh:

Disposable Gloves: Keep students' hands safe, clean, and hygienic while handling dissection specimens and Science Fair lab materials.

Mints & Air Fresheners: Work wonders during chicken foot dissections and odor-heavy experiments! A peppermint under the tongue and fresh air in the room help sensitive noses stay focused on biology rather than the smell.

Ink Cartridges: Allow us to print colorful dissection diagrams, step-by-step lab guides, safety protocols, and Science Fair display materials so every student has the resources they need to succeed.
