We are an amazing school that is a K-8 public charter school. We focus on helping each student work toward being their best. We hope to encourage student to be positive and see the good in everything they do. We work with intelligent children, some who need small co taught classes, some who need advanced classes beyond their years. Our students know each other and thrive in the small school environment that we have created and they have embraced and made great!
My Project
Help give students the tools they need to feel safe after being in isolation for so long. Students have big emotions, and they need a place to feel safe to have these emotions. The students need a place to go to, have, and understand their feelings. Process those emotions, know that they control their feelings, then go back to class and move forward throughout their day. Their feelings are important and cannot be put aside, and emotions must be processed. But that you are in control, and you are safe to do this at school. Students will have access to tools and materials when they need it the most. We will work through their emotions and learn coping skills together. They will feel successful when they can manage their emotions and then return back to class.
