This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach 46 eager 3rd grade students in a low socioeconomic school. I team teach with another 3rd grade teacher. I teach math to two classes, in addition to all other subjects (excluding reading) to my homeroom. More than half of my class receives free lunch.
My students show up every day excited to be at school and ready to learn.
Unfortunately, many of them do not have traditional learning materials at home that foster learning through hands on learning experiences. I need your help updating the materials in my classroom. Due to economic strains, our classrooms are suffering. Without your help, it is impossible for me to purchase these materials.
My Project
These organizers will help my students keep our Chromebooks safely and neatly stored when we are not using them. We will very soon be a one-to-one classroom and currently do not have enough space to store the new Chromebooks we will be getting soon.
My students have done a great job taking care of the 12 Chromebooks we have.
My hope is that this level of care continues when we each have a device to be responsible for. That is the main purpose for this request. The goal is to teach my students responsibility with making sure their device is stored properly and kept on a charger when not in use. With each device having their own space, this will help in achieving this goal.
