My Students

The learners I work with are bright, imaginative, energetic, and full of grit. I have the privilege of working one-on-one and in small groups with students who qualify for Behavior Intervention. My learners range in age from five to ten years old, Kindergarten through third grade. These are learners who are often seen as difficult to work with or challenging to understand by adults and their peers. They look forward to our time together where they have the opportunity to work towards gaining control of their impulses and understanding their feelings through games, books, and physical activities.

My Project

This project is being written in hopes of attaining some secure storage that will fit in the office that I share with my students. Part of my position is to help students manage their impulses and to regulate their emotions. The current situation in my office allows students to be able to see and access the work of others. On the rare occasion that a student is unable to redirect their emotions, they may lose control of their body. I would like to purchase this piece of storage equipment so that I have a safe place to keep the work and projects of my students.
