Help me give my students a broader understanding of racial justice and representation, fostering empathy, critical thinking, and a commitment to equity and social justice.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When my students read racial justice & representation books they will be exposed to the the voices and stories of historically marginalized individuals and communities. By showcasing these narratives, the students will more about equity and social justice, empowering them from all backgrounds. In addition, Students will become more cultural competence, enabling them to understand and appreciate diverse backgrounds and identities. These books can help break stereotypes and challenge biases, fostering a more inclusive society.
The students will be better able to explore topics in History, Language Arts and humanities from different perspectives.
They can learn about historical events, systemic racism, and the experiences of marginalized communities This helps students connect the content with real-world experiences and realize that all cultures are valuable and should be heard.
More than half of students from low‑income households
