Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a Special Education teacher of color working in the Bronx New York. My classroom consists of 12 students. They all have disabilities ranging from autism and learning disabilities just to name a few. My students are eager learners but they often lack the fundamentals to be happy and succeed.

My cart consists of snacks and an iPad.

The students come to school at 7:30 am and lunch is served at 12 noon. The snack will tide them over from breakfast to lunch. The iPad allows a child to work at his or her own pace when he/she is unable to work at the pace of the group. This project will not be fully funded without your donations. Please help me help my students. We are counting on you.
