Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The rugs provided will make a more comfortable, homey, classroom environment which helps students feel safe which in turn will help them feel more comfortable to engage in learning activities and learn. We have hard flooring and my students love to learn on the floor, so the rugs would make it more comfortable for them to use the floor as flexible seating! When students feel relaxed at school, they are more likely to open up to teachers and peers about experiences happening at school and home which is so important when it comes to learning and connecting experiences to one another.
