My Project
I am transitioning from being a special education teacher to a second grade teacher at my school next school year. My students and I would greatly benefit from having a large classroom rug to meet whole group- for morning meetings, yoga stretches, and small group assignments, a reading rug for our classroom library, and a kidney table to work with small groups of students during the response to intervention, and other times throughout the school day.
These items are essential to building a positive classroom culture focusing on the whole child approach and will help me in implementing and encouraging students' to collaborate and work with one another.
