This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

These amazing Kindergarteners work hard every day to master the basic skills for school success. These kiddos are full of energy and enthusiasm for learning. They love to read new books, explore mathematical tools and solve problems. They like to work in groups and enjoy community time on the rug.

Kindergarten is a time for learning through hands on experiences and exploration by doing!

These kids are special because they have grit and are building their stamina for reading more difficult books and communicating their mathematical thinking through pictures and words!

My Project

Make my students' day more comfortable! Students will feel happy sitting on the classroom floor each day on a clean new rug! We need a heart to our classroom and just like the kitchen is the heart of a home the rug is the heart of the primary school classroom.

Help us to make our classroom bright and cheerful as well as more functional!

We meet on the classroom rug at the beginning of each subject, this is a very central part of our classroom environment. I want to give my students a new fresh rug to learn on. Thank you!
