My Students
Our kids need to be out playing, exercising, and having fun. We want to see them breaking a sweat, meeting challenges, and feeling healthy! Through our Rubber Ball Project, we hope to get our students exercising more consistently in addition to PE class to help reduce obesity in our school!
Our students are 7-10 year olds that love life.
We hope to get them excited about living a healthy life by adding physical activity into their daily routine. Our school is in a semi-urban to semi-rural area. Our school is excited about getting kids pumped up about being a student.
My Project
Our PE teachers have come up with a list of short individual and team games that are centered around the use of a ball. We have found that no matter what background kids come from, they can all have fun with a ball, kind of like a universal language. We are going to challenge kids to spend 60 minutes a day interacting with a ball in a physical atmosphere using one of the games/drills provided. Throughout the project, students will learn the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
Students need adults to get involved in more than their education... We need to change their lives!
What better way to change a student's life than to help them live a healthy life! The research shows that a healthy kid is a happy kid. We are so excited at the change that will take place at our school and hopefully spread throughout our community!
