When you think of your childhood, some of your favorite memories involve a ball. You can play wall ball, basketball, four square, etc. But for many children, the only time they get to play with a ball is at school. We want to make it possible for every child at Deerfield to have a ball of their own. As a PE teacher this means that children will be less likely to experience bullying related to obesity. To our administration, this means our students will be better prepared to achieve academically they can achieve physically. But to our students, the people this project is for, this ball is something that is entirely their own. It is a tool that can start games and friendships they've only imagined. Can you sponsor one or more children? It only takes $10 to change a life. Our students are 7-10 year olds. We hope to get them excited about living a healthy life by adding physical activity into their daily routine.
