My Students

My students are simply amazing! I absolutely adore them. They are the sweetest 6- and 7-year-olds kindergarteners you will ever meet. We are an agricultural community. The school where I teach is a Title I school, where 83% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. A large percentage of our students are also English language learners.

Every day, these sweet kiddos are always eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges no matter how difficult the circumstances maybe even if it means learning from home.

Even when faced with the task of continuing our learning online and via student packets, they are still trying their very best to learn! Thank you for your support in helping my students learn from home.

My Project

As a teacher, I am trying my best to be optimistic that in the fall my Kindergartners will all be back in my classroom. We have learned that half of them will be at home learning on the computer while the other half are at school. These students will change the next day with the student at home, coming to school while the students at home will now be at home learning. Many ways of doing things have and will continue to change. With always the possibility that all students will be learning at home again. One big change is that students may not share any supplies. So students will need supplies at home and in the classroom to use daily.

Covered bins with lids will ensure that my students have all of their personal supplies at home and in their own cubby to use.

The germs will stay out as well as their classmate's hands! This is a new concept for elementary students who share daily. I will be having one student that is highly allergic to the chemical made in plastic items and needs glass containers for his school items at home and in the classroom. At any given day students might be asked not to return to school and will have their box of school supplies ready to go.

Thank you for your continued support of education during this time of uncertainty.
