My Students

My students are fabulous first graders! They are my kids and I want them to feel at home in my classroom. My students come to school excited to learn and I want them to achieve their full potential!

My students are mostly from Kent County, Delaware and all have various strengths and challenges to overcome.

We are in a low-income area and many of my students come from varied backgrounds. They need to be comfortable to do their best learning.

My Project

Flexible seating allows the students to have choice and control over their own learning. The students are more engaged and perform better on assignments and tasks when they can choose their type of seating.

These seats will help my students be able to work collaboratively in a group around a circle table.

Students will be able to sit comfortably and will increase their cooperation and teamwork skills.

This is the last stage of the classroom transformation to flexible seating. Our classroom will be a fully functional flexible seating classroom and we are so excited for it to be complete!
