Help me give my students motivation for a year which they will need to concentrate and work hard towards learning. A large white board is essential in any classroom.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Students are coming back to school for the new school year. Some of these children have not been inside a classroom in 1.5 years, this will be a big adjustment as they walk in for the first time. Our students have been put through an incredible challenge. We want them to feel safe and welcome as they come back to school.
My Project
This year many of my students are coming back from one year that was completely remote.
As our students acclimate to the classroom, they need explicit modeling and the opportunity to show their work to the class.
Teacher validation and validation from their peers will be critical for students to begin to feel successful inside the classroom.
Now that the school year has begun it is important for our students to be given an opportunity to share their thinking with their classmates. A large whiteboard will provide students with a way to share their work in an engaging way.
