My Students

The students in my first grade classroom are so very special because they come from different backgrounds, different socio-economic levels, and different education levels...which means they have so many varied needs.

So many kids in my classroom need classroom support through classroom equipment and furniture that can help in making their learning more robust, and effective.

With 25 students of different race, sex, cognitive ability and home environments, my classroom is a very diverse place where needs are differentiated through curriculum as well as classroom manipulatives and the space in which we work.

My Project

This reading cart will come in handy when children are doing reading in a small group! It will make finding books that are on their levels easy and fun! The cart can roll around the room so anyone can have access, and the bins will make it organized and easy to use!

This resource will allow me to have books available on spot at guided reading time, and it will be an easy way to locate books when children are reading with me or wanting to read on their own!
