My Project

The students in my class love to use manipulatives to help them learn! We are currently building our literacy skills to help them be ready for 2nd grade.

I have requested four different types of reading rods to help my students with their spelling and word building skills.

These four sets include Alphabet & Phonemic Awareness, Phonics and Word-Building, Sight Words and CVC Words. These sets are incredible because they have picture cues on the cubes to help students who needs those visuals to help them in building sight words and cvc words, which are critical 1st grade literacy skills. The connecting rods make it feel like playtime for them when actually they are spending their time learning!
