My Students

I teach second grade at a Title I school in Michigan. My students are always so excited to learn new things. My goal is to provide them with multiple ways to learn and show their learning. This year, my students have a wide range of abilities and instructional needs. I need ways to help best reach them as learners.

My students are a fantastic group of kids who enjoy learning.

I am on a mission to pass on my love of learning to my students. My classroom is a haven for them. I want to provide many fun and engaging learning opportunities for them, along with a comforting environment.

My Project

The classroom library is always my students' favorite part of our classroom. I try to keep it stocked with books that are not only engaging to my students but also at their right reading level. This year I am moving down to second grade and will need some lower level books so all of my students have access to the books they need.

These books will help engage all students to become readers.

The books in this project span various reading levels. The Branches book series are beginner chapter books that keep the students wanting to read more. These books are great because they allow the students to read a chapter book even if they are at a lower reading level. I hope with this project my students will all find some books that they just can't put down!
