My students need a wifi tablet with accessories.
Most of the students in my classroom come from single parent low income homes. Many of them don't have a chance to see interactive website activities at home. I am super excited to have this opportunity to enrich my students education!
My students are an almost even mixture of Caucasian, Hispanic, and African American students.
Many community people think that my students are "thugs" (we have a bad reputation in our local community). But, my students are sweet, even tempered, hard working young people who want to have a better life than their parents do. Most of my students want to go to college and have a career that will help them be successful.
I am going to use the tablet in my classroom to inspire students to create better science models for their journals and to have an interactive periodic table for my students to use. I am also going to use the tablet to help my students who are learning English as a second language to understand their vocabulary words by showing them pictures and models.
My students are excited by the possibility of receiving a tablet to use in the classroom.
Several have already started spending time trying to find science applications to download if we receive it. Maybe one of them might become a programmer in the future.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
