My students are an almost even mixture of Caucasian, Hispanic, and African American students. Many community people think that my students are "thugs" (we have a bad reputation in our local community). But, my students are sweet, even tempered, hard working young people who want to have a better life than their parents do. Most of my students want to go to college and have a career that will help them be successful.
