My Project

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor at a public high school. I work with special education students, including those with Autism.

Everyone needs rhythm, which regulates and stabilizes our brains to help us reset.

Have you ever rocked a baby in your arms to soothe them? You're soothing them with rhythm.

We all need some type of rhythm in our lives and I would like to provide a rocking chair for those times when my students need a little reset.

17% of high school students struggle with social skills. Therefore, other items on this list will allow them school/peer engagement and teach students age-appropriate self-regulation and social skills.
