My students need 6 Learniture Active Learning Stools to expand their flexible seating options and allow them to incorporate movement into their learning.
I teach in a rural school in Georgia, Vermont. Georgia is a community of just over 4,500 residents in the Northwestern regions of our state. It is located on the shore of lake Champlain in Franklin County, which is known for its many dairy farms. Georgia Elementary is a pre-K to 8 school with a student population of about 500.
My third graders have diverse interests and talents, and arrive at school each day with tons of energy and enthusiasm!
These 3rd graders love to laugh, move, and explore the world around them. They also enjoy sharing their talents and knowledge with each other.
Together in 3rd grade, we work to identify our strengths and learn to celebrate progress over perfection. My 3rd grade students discover what skills and tools they need to support their learning and are encouraged to make independent choices about what they need in order to do their best learning.
My Project
These active learning stools will allow my engergetic 3rd graders to excel by giving them choice and adding movement to their learning. They will use them during individual work time as well as in collaborative group settings.
These stools allow movement in all directions and will encourage student well being by helping to activate both mind and body throughout the day.
The active learning stools will help us expand the flexible seating options in our classroom and allow my 3rd grade students more choice and movement as they work to discover what helps them to focus and enhance their own learning.
