Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"I don't use technology in my classroom because it is a buzzword or trend. I use it because connecting my kids to the world will prepare them for the future and it is my job to give them the tools they need for whatever that future it will look like." Technology and the future are ever evolving and changing. What we do today will not necessarily be what it looks like tomorrow.
It is my job as an educator to help students build the foundational skills that will help them become problem solvers as they face various situations throughout their life.
One way I can give them these tools is to help expose them various learning situations that require them to think and solve through a problem - especially by exposing them to the world of Computer Science. Computer Science is the next big push and focus within education, especially in the state of Connecticut.
These robots will help bring Computer Science to life for my students and show them how it integrates into EVERY aspect of their everyday life both in and out of school. I KNOW they will be SO excited to see what THEY have programmed into the robot to come to life.
