Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

All of our students want to learn how to become great engineers. Our classes lack supplies to help us design and become engineers. In class, these supplies will help us design rockets to launch out on our field. This helps them with their design skills and provides them with the opportunities to be successful designers.

Our students are excited to design and launch their rockets.

They will use the materials to create and design rockets out of 2-liter bottles. They will prime(spray paint), paint (acrylic paint) with brushes, assemble with duct tape and cut (cutting tool) designed fins and nose cones out of corrugated plastic. After building them they will launch them to see which rocket takes the highest flight.

My goals are for them to understand the principles of design and become interested in the field of engineering. This project will help them do so.
