My Project

First graders have a unique sense of wonder about everything around them and an enthusiastic desire to learn and grow. My students face challenges daily and overcome them with a sense of strength, curiosity, and pride under the mantra "practice makes progress."

As young children, our classroom activities are inspired learning opportunities that also allow for their individual creativity to shine through.

Many of my students have a very artistic personality and it is inspiring to see their creative skills in the school environment. As their teacher, I enjoy finding ways that we can include art into our learning tasks and allow for my students to utilize art as a means for showing what they have learned. Their enthusiasm and positive attitudes are contagious and can be seen and heard throughout our campus wherever they go.

By having these materials, I will be able to provide my students with various artistic tools to express themselves and their learning. Utilizing a variety of art materials will allow my wide scope of artists to show of their artistic and creative skills. I am looking forward to seeing how they use the variety of art mediums, like crayons, markers, and paint, in the classroom. Paper and cardstock are important to have readily available for whenever my students feel inspired to begin a project. Having extra scissors, glue sticks, and highlighters will ensure that my students are always prepared for any and all learning tasks. The clear boxes will provide an individualized place to keep my students' work materials in a safe and organized manner. The dry-erase clipboards will allow my students to take their learning to any part of the classroom or school, while having the ability to transition to a learning tool with white board markers.
