The George Washington Robotics Club is composed of students grades 9-12 that have an interest in ... Robotics. They work in different teams to program the robot, build the robot, and learn how to maneuver and drive the robot. Many of our students come with only a love for hands on learning as freshman. By the time they are seniors they are well versed in a variety of aspects in real world problem solving and most importantly how to work collaboratively with a group in pressured situations.
My Project
These tools will be a badly needed update to help us build with the precision that is demanded in creating competition ready and winning robots. The saws and drills are used for everything from creating model fields to giving access to our climbing mechanism.
These tools will be invaluable for us as we prepare for the 2018-19 FIRST Robotics season.
Last season we won the Utah regional and went to nationals. Hopefully these tools will give us the edge we need to qualify and compete at the highest level. Our students are the future engineers and programmers of America. This is STEM inspired club creates real change in student's current and future lives.
