This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"My code worked!" Watching a kindergarten student light up as their carefully crafted code has been put into action by a robot is an experience you will never forget. Quality computer science education is needed now more than ever to give our students the chance they deserve to succeed in world where computing jobs are increasing rapidly.

My school has 12 pre-k through second grade classes FULL of incredible students from diverse backgrounds in an area with high poverty.

As a computer science teacher I am doing my best to provide quality computer science and robotics education to all of my students with the best learning tools to enhance their learning environment. Many of my students do not have resources to support their learning at home. With your help, I'm confident that I can give all of my pre-k-2nd grade students the foundation they need to solve problems and become computational thinkers!

My Project

Computing is part of everything we do and Bee-Bots are an exciting and engaging way to instill a love of computer science and robotics in our youngest learners. I have requested 6 Bee-Bot Robots for hands on computer science. These robots are perfect to introduce robotics and coding to my pre-K through second grade students in a simple, fun yet engaging way.

Hands-on computing offers great opportunities for true creativity and innovativeness and these amazing little robots challenge, inspire and motivate our littlest learners while teaching coding.

We know expertise in computing enables student to solve complex, challenging problems and that the earlier students are introduced to computer science the more likely they will be pursue an interest in this field later in their academic career. Your generous donation will allow to students learn, work together, problem solve, think outside of the box, and be inspired to do more with coding.
