Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Here at Rise, our science classrooms are filled with bright, curious students who are passionate about science and eager to explore the world of technology. However, as a Title I high school serving a high-needs population, we often face resource limitations that make it difficult to provide the tools and experiences our students need to stay competitive in an increasingly tech-driven world. Many of our students come from underrepresented backgrounds in STEM fields, and for them, access to hands-on technology like robotics can be life changing.

Through this project, we aim to introduce our students to the exciting and practical world of robotics.

With the right tools, our Rise students will be able to build, program, and troubleshoot robots—gaining critical skills in coding, engineering, and problem-solving. These aren’t just classroom activities—they're real-world skills that prepare students for college, careers in STEM, and a future in which innovation is key. Robotics will allow our students to learn by doing, collaborate with peers, and gain the confidence that comes from creating something with their own hands.

Your support will help bridge the opportunity gap and ensure that every student, regardless of their zip code or background, has the chance to thrive. With your help, we can give our students the tools they need to not just dream about the future—but to build it. Thank you for investing in their potential and helping to spark a lifelong love of learning and innovation.
