I would love to be able to offer the students at our school an opportunity to belong to a before-school Robotics Club. There are many high energy, eager students who would greatly benefit for the hands on learning experience that such a club would provide. It would also be a wonderful opportunity for students across grades 4, 5, and 6 to meet each other.
A Robotics Club would help to teach students to work cooperatively and collaboratively while learning about coding and how robots actually work.
A group of 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students will have the opportunity to be part of a before school weekly Robotics Club. The WeDo 2.0 core sets will allow students to experience STEM learning; perhaps for the first time.
Students who may not always be successful in more traditional learning situations will gain self-esteem and enjoy learning.
I would love to be able to bring a new type of learning to a group of very deserving students. This Robotic Club will boost their science and computer programming skills. It will also foster social-emotional learning and help to prepare students for their future.
