My Project

In an effort to boost student engagement, we are adding new curriculum to our course offerings. Our robotics course will be offered to our middle and high school students to teach them strategy, design, and coding in a safe classroom competition setting. My students are from a low income area with a high population of Native Americans. Being a small school, we do not offer as many electives as we would like because of staffing and required courses.

Through some crafty scheduling, we are able to add in some electives that have gained student interest, such as robotics.

We have resources available from our robotics teams; but need some updated devices to program the robots with if we will be expanding to multiple teams competing in one classroom at the same time. The addition of two iPads with protective cases and a couple of books on robot design and programming will make this course more accessible to the students.
