Our STEM classroom loves caring for the plants and making sure they have what they need. The students are gaining insight into whether the plants are being overwatered, need more grow lights, or maybe even needing structures to climb and vine around. They are designing structures to add to the gardens for some plants to grow on and survive and learning how the plants grow towards the sunlight and not where the students want them to grow.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping my students have access to these materials. It has given them a sense of responsibility and helped them learn how to care for something that lives and depends on them for support. They were able to open the boxes and assemble some items. The addition of a 3D printer to the technology corner of our library has peaked student interest and curiosity. At the end of last school year, a few students used the printer to bring designs to life and really impressed their friends and classmates with how well the prints came out.\r\n\r\nWe are in the process this year of teaching the high school STEM students how to use the printer. Those students will then work together with their elementary buddies to teach them how the printer works. Making this technology available to our students changes the way they visualize projects and assignments.
