My Students
I teach in a school that raises leaders! Students are given the freedom to choose clubs, activities and different leadership jobs around the school. I am the P.E teacher and get to meet and learn all about each and every one of the students in my school from first to fifth grade. Many students in my school have ADHD and need to get their energy out! My class is the perfect outlet for this type of activity. Sustained exercise may significantly decrease effects of stress or trauma. Physical activity also promotes brain growth, improves brain efficiency, and strengthens learning abilities. Brain changes associated with exercise are most dramatic in the areas related to ADHD: executive functioning, attention, and working memory.
I inspire students to learn how to move their bodies fluently and develop the knowledge, fitness levels, physical skills and personal and social skills necessary for a lifetime of health and physical activity.
My Project
