Because of this generosity, my students now learn in a more welcoming, comfortable, and well-equipped environment. These resources have helped create a classroom space where students feel supported, valued, and ready to learn each day.\r\n\r\nThe classroom cushions have been especially impactful. They give students flexible seating options that help them stay comfortable and focused during lessons, small-group work, and independent reading time. Many students are more engaged and calm when they can choose a seating option that works best for them, which has improved attention, participation, and overall classroom behavior.\r\n\r\nThe phonics games and school supplies have directly supported student learning and success. The phonics games make literacy instruction more interactive and enjoyable, allowing students to strengthen reading skills through hands-on practice and collaboration. The additional school supplies ensure that all students have the materials they need to fully participate in daily activities without barriers. This project has truly enhanced both the learning experience and classroom community, and I am incredibly grateful for the support that made it possible.","fullyFundedDate":1760811813107,"projectUrl":"project/spanish-immersion-super-stars/9830820/","projectTitle":"Spanish Immersion Super Stars!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lovelace","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10310420"},{"teacherId":10314179,"projectId":9833984,"letterContent":"Thank you to those who supported our classroom project! My students and I have truly enjoyed utilizing every single donated item this school year. In particular, the rug has not only been a cute addition, but has allowed all students to be able to join carpet time comfortably (since we have a lot of students). Also, the book shelf has been great to display read alouds (connected to what we are currently learning) for students to choose from during independent reading time.\r\nWhen they first saw the materials, they were eager to help with setup and had the biggest smiles on their faces. They know that I put a lot of effort into making our classroom a home, but these additions elevated the space!\r\nWe appreciate the donors and representatives who were in charge of this project...it has definitely made an impact on both of my classes!","fullyFundedDate":1760791965238,"projectUrl":"project/miss-crowes-2nd-year-teaching/9833984/","projectTitle":"Miss Crowe's 2nd Year Teaching","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Crowe","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10314179"},{"teacherId":1800848,"projectId":9827672,"letterContent":"Since receiving the new resources, my students have been using them daily to deepen their learning and stay engaged in meaningful, hands-on work. There were smiles, excited conversations, and plenty of \"Can we use these today?\" questions. They were eager to explore and clearly felt that the materials were something special just for them. That sense of ownership carried into our lessons, as students treated the materials with care and excitement, knowing they were an important part of their learning experience.\r\n\r\nOur library has become much more comfortable and choice driven with the new seating options!","fullyFundedDate":1760570402611,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-flexible-learning/9827672/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Flexible Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Kraus","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1800848"},{"teacherId":6208332,"projectId":9824314,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity! My third grade classrooms are very fortunate to be the recipients of your donations. To begin with, the new books have been an exciting addition to our classroom libraries. High interest books about football, soccer, and favorite authors have really captured the attention of some of our most reluctant readers. We now have a more extensive library and have begun learning about a specific author each month. Students read different books by the same author and analyze the author's craft and style. Then, they compare and contrast the styles of the different authors we have studied.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the reading material, your generosity has allowed me to provide multiple areas of flexible seating in the classroom. During our independent reading times, students are able to get out of their seats and read on the carpet or sit in the comfy chairs. It is always a welcome treat to be able to sit somewhere other than at your desk during the school day.","fullyFundedDate":1760412608359,"projectUrl":"project/reluctant-readers-no-more/9824314/","projectTitle":"Reluctant Readers No More!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Foresman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6208332"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_44470","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":508,"numTeachers":34,"percentFrplEligible":31,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":38,"percentWhite":37,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":12,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":35.0,"schoolId":44470,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Nellie Hughes Stokes Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Nellie Hughes Stokes Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/delaware/caesar-rodney-school-district/nellie-hughes-stokes-elementary-school/44470"}
