My Students

My students are engaged and motivated through a college preparatory program with technology and arts curriculum. They are very well-rounded liberal arts students with a foundation in exploration and problem-solving skills. My students work in a collaborative work environment that fosters intellectual diversity and prepares them to become active citizens.

Our student body consists of pupils who are very visual and kinesthetic.

They enjoy learning in the classroom and then applying their knowledge in the lab room. Our student demographics are as follows: 47% White, 25% Hispanic, 15% Black, 9% Asian, 4% Native American & Pacific Islander. Our student body has a high racial diversity.

My Project

Our students will be studying anatomy and physiology later this semester. As such, we are requesting preserved organisms to better view anatomical structures and relationships.

RIBBIT-RIBBIT "Help students LEAP their way into exploring the internal and external anatomy of Grass frogs and owl pellets!"

Allow students to manipulate a real organism and capture the essence of dissection. Through these labs, students will be able to dissect an owl pellets and trace the flow of energy; as well as understand structure function relationships of organs and organ systems. The owl pellets allow students to visualize the types of food (rodents) that were eaten by this owl. They will then make comparisons to the levels of energy gained or lost in these scenarios. This particular lab will also provide awareness to the students in regards to college level laboratories.

With your donation, students will be able to share their experience with others! Mastery of a subject is said to occur when students are able to teach others what they have learned.

Please help the future generations of students explore an opportunity of a lifetime! "RIBBIT!"
