My Students

Our first grade class has twenty-two energetic and loving boys and girls that have grown both academically and socially during the first three quarters of our school year. Each student receives free breakfast and free lunch each day and some of their home lives are unimaginable.

Our classroom is a place for learning, growing, consistency and love.

Our school has four hundred students and our class is the "best first grade class in our building" - just ask my students.

My Project

Classrooms are no longer "sit and get" environments. Collaboration, technology and blended learning are now a part of each school day. Students in my classroom use their iPads daily and work together. Even though they are in 1st grade, they are embracing the blended learning classroom and they need their classroom furniture to meet the needs of their 21st century education.

My students love flexible seating!

Currently our classroom only has a few flexible seating items but my students really enjoy them. Wobble stools that students can move around the classroom and comfortable cushions and floor seating will help my students learn in a collaborative space.
