Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a Spanish Immersion school where the students learn Math, Science, and Cultural Studies in Spanish language. Half of the day is entirely in Spanish and the other half in English. My school is part of a very low-income district where the resources that we have sometimes are often not enough for what we really need.

My students earn punches for various things throughout their day and then can cash those in for prizes once a week.

Our prize store just got a small restock and we were able to question especially our older students for things they would be excited to see in the punch card store. All of these items are things our students have requested and I know they would be thrilled to have them as options in our punch card store as a reward for doing the hard work each and every day at school.
