This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my class, I use a tally system to track participation and a prize wheel to motivate students to stay on task and remain engaged. We have a chart that demonstrates where students scored at their beginning-of-year assessment, and mid-year assessment, and a space for students to fill in their scores for their end-of-year assessment.

At the end of the testing cycle, I will discuss which students met their growth goals and will present these students with a certificate, a goody bag, and ideally a gift card!

We have other incentives also, but the gift cards will be a hit allowing students to work hard to purchase items that they want or need.
