Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students from our school are kind to each other and like to help their community, as well. We are a public K-8 school with over 1,200 students located in Philadelphia.
We are a Title I School.
Our students are bright and motivated, but unfortunately, they are students in a district that can't always afford to provide them with basic school supplies. The budget for our school is very limited and unfortunately we don't have extra funds to buy rewards for our students. Springtime is a stressful time of year for our students with standardized testing. Getting rewards for our students would help brighten up their day!
My Project
With standardized testing and increasing temperatures springtime can be stressful for our students! We want to reward POSITIVE behavior choices and excellent effort this spring at our school! Students who display excellent behavior choices will get a raffle ticket and each day we will pull a few winners to reward them for their positive behavior choices! These prizes will be given out to our winners! Thank you in advance for your support! The students at our school will be thrilled to get these awesome prizes and we couldn't do it without your support. These prizes like squishy grips and gel pens may be small but the amount of happiness and joy it will bring to our students will be huge!
