Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students are creative and wonderful kids! Most of our students come from low-income communities, families do not have the resources to acquire more than basic academic needs. Our school is made up of students from PK to 6th grade. The staff of Ramona Communication Arts Academy is proud to be a part of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program. The purpose of PBIS is to establish an environment where appropriate behavior is the norm. The program creates and maintains a safe and effective learning environment, and ensures all students have the social skills needed for success at school and beyond. Our three behavior expectations are to be responsible, respectful, and safe. In order to ensure the success of PBIS, it is imperative that we reward students for displaying positive behaviors.

Our students will earn digital Tiger Tickets from teachers and staff and they will be able to redeem those digital tickets in our monthly PBIS Tiger store.

Students earn points for being responsible, respectful, and safe at our school. We need a variety of awesome incentives to reward students for working hard and displaying positive behavior. These rewards will motivate students to put in their best efforts and be role moles for one another. Our goal is to support and develop positive behaviors in all of our Ramona students.
