Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students deserve the world, and it is our job to place it within hands reach. We are a STEM charter school needing to provide the hands-on materials and experiences to push our students to the next level in their educational career and future.

Our students, ranging from grade s kindergarten through twelfth grade, possess an extreme level of ingenuity and innovation.

They bring with them their varying levels of experiences related to STEM in conjunction with their unique diversity and background. Our learners find a common interest in STEM and being able to do things hands-on.

My Project

Our students possess a strong interest and passion in robotics. With the addition of these materials to our STEM classes, we will be able to create more hands-on experiences and challenges for our students.

They excel in our virtual robotics lessons, but it means so much more to build a robot from a scratch, create the program, and then problem solve to improve its functionality.

With these materials we can go from the abstract robotics we have been doing through virtual means to the physical materials being at their fingertips. We will be able to move from concept to functional robot with the LEGO EV3 products added into our classrooms.

These materials will also allow for us to expand our robotics class into a robotics club for those not able to be in class due to scheduling conflicts and size limits.
