My Project

“The mind is like water. When it's turbulent, it's difficult to see. When it's calm, everything becomes clear.” – Prasad Mahes. One of the best ways to help calm the mind is by having a calm environment. This donation request to revamp our reflection room is meant to achieve that goal of a calming and supportive place for students. There is so much potential in this space!

Students use this classroom as a space to complete assignments, have restorative conversations, reset socially/emotionally, and so much more.

Our school's reflection room is space that stands ready to welcome any student at any time. Some of the items that would help improve our space are yoga mats, cushions for the desk chairs, large coloring sheets to use during community building time, and floor lamps for low-level lighting.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
