Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are struggling to complete assignments through remote learning due to the limited technology and supplies from our school. I teach at the poverty school within my district. All of our students are economically disadvantaged. We do not have enough materials for distance learning for every student. Teachers are working hard to insure that our students receive enough instruction to be able to manage without extensive technological support.

My Project

The laminator and laminating pouches would be a great asset to my students for remote learning. I would be able to laminate assignments, graphic organizers, templates and materials for them to complete each week to finish their work and then re-use the next week.

Not all of my students have access to technology and the digital assignment formats.

This would level the playing field and allow me to create the templates, laminate them and send them to the students to use in a dry erase format each week. My students would then have the much needed tool to practice their skills and strategies in reading, writing and math!
