Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a retired teacher who is returning back to the classroom! I am excited to be back in the classroom and teaching 4th and 5th grade math students.

The classroom resources that I have requested are essential to the success of my students.

These materials will be utilized by students as they work to solve multi-step math problems. For example, the highlighters will be used to mark key words in the word problems that will help them to decide the operation needed to answer the questions. Other supplies, such as Expo markers will be used by students to work math problems on the board. They enjoy "playing teacher" as they show their work and discuss the problems.
