My Project

Our computer lab has a few desktop computers. They are mainly used with more precise programs or projects that needs greater memory are required. Since most of our machines are Chromebooks, there are occasions where Windows is needed. Up until two weeks ago, this set up was working well.

Due to a large thunderstorm, one of our computer towers was fried.

Due to its age, it can not be repaired. This is sad considering it served us very well.

I am requesting a computer tower in order to get this device back running. Our monitor and other equipment are fine, So I see no need to request those.

This project is very important for us. We are an alternative school that houses students who have been removed from our schools within our district. Most of these students would either be label at-risk or have learning disabilities. As a result, we can not afford to allow them to fall further behind. Since our students do all of their work online, working computers are a must. Since Chromebooks can sometimes be harder to operate, we often have our special needs students to use these. They are also sometimes used because they have bigger monitors or because we are doing projects that require faster computing speed than a Chromebook.

I know this is a very expensive request, but it is something that is greatly needed. Please bring this computer system back to life.
