Restorative Mindfullness in Native Pollinator Garden

Help me give my students the opportunity to spend time outdoors, calming themselves on beautiful and sturdy benches in our restorative native pollinator garden.

My Project

My students, many from disadvantaged backgrounds with limited exposure to extensive time immersed in the beauty and healing aspects of nature, will benefit from sturdy and beautiful outdoor seating which will allow them to spend time surrounded by native flora in our pollinator garden. Some of my students have significant language difficulties and have little to no oral language while others have difficulties with sounds and producing speech on demand, but all can benefit from a calm environment and a chance to spend time in nature observing native flora and fauna coexisting. All can benefit from time in nature to learn from nature as well as regulate themselves with it.
